That’s an additional five miles per gallon compared to the last generation internal combustion engine Tundra.
The 2022 redesigned hybrid version of the Tundra can travel roughly 248 more miles on a full tank of gas than the 2021 gas Tundra, thanks to a larger gas tank and superior fuel economy. The latest version of the Toyota Tundra hybrid is even more impressive from a driving range standpoint.
How much driving range does the 2026 Toyota Tundra Hybrid have?
A base model 2026 Toyota Tundra Limited i-FORCE MAX achieves 22 miles per gallon. It has a 32.2-gallon gas tank. This allows the 2026 Tundra Hybrid to travel over 708 miles on a full tank of gas. The full-size truck could exceed this driving range on the highway.
The Tundra Hybrid’s fuel economy is actually average for its segment, but its gas tank is massive. Its hybrid powertrain system gives it a boost to achieve extraordinary driving range. Efficiency isn’t the only reason to choose a Toyota Tundra Hybrid over other trucks.

That said, many drivers will opt for more affordable options like the best-selling Ford F-150 ($38,810), which earns 23 miles per gallon combined with its V6 EcoBoost engine.
The 2026 Tundra Hybrid isn’t for everyone, but if you value driving range and a long-list of standard features in your daily driver, it’s worth considering. Its electric motor power boost also makes it more fun to drive than the average full-size truck.
